How you can get involved

With the increase in it's varied activities, the Trust urgently needs more voluntary help - a variety of interests and skills will be needed as we progress through the process of building and then running the Community Hall.

If you live in Market Lavington why not join one of our committees? An excellent way of getting involved, of putting something into the village, and of meeting like minded people.

Perhaps you have an interest in the arts in the broadest sense, in which case Lavington Arts offers the opportunity to be part of a lively group that regularly puts on events and community arts projects. Phone of fax Adam Stephens on 813935.

The Community Action Committee will give a chance to touch every aspect of life in the village and to make an important contribution to the success of the Community Hall project. For more information please phone or fax Slater Reynolds on 816222 or Nick Conrad on 816050.

With a wide variety of events and the 100+ Club to run, the Fundraising Committee need more help to enable them to do even more towards demonstrating support for the project in the village. Please contact Sue Stone on 812636.

The Site Group needs more volunteers to help clear the Community Hall site and maintain it as a facility for the village. Very worthwhile and good exercise too! For more information please ring John Noakes on 812267.

Don't stand on ceremony; why not send our Treasurer, Bill Jelly, a cheque. He is at 45, High Street, Market Lavington, Devizes, Wilts.

Fundraising

While we do not expect people in Market Lavington to pay for the new Community Hall in it's entirety (or anywhere near it), we will need to demonstrate strong local support to outside funders. With this in mind, the Fundraising Committee has a programme of fundraising events planned within the village, starting with a quiz night on Friday 22nd January at the Kings Arms. The Fundraising Committee are also continuing with the very successful 100+ Club.
