Community Hall Management Trust

 

Market Lavington Community Hall Management Trust

Market Lavington Community Hall Management Trust is a charity registered with the Charity Commission (No. 1049188).

TRUSTEES

The following trustees have been elected to serve on the Trust for 1998/99:

Slater Reynolds - Chairman
Nick Conrad - Vice Chairman
Bill Jelly - Treasurer
Aileen Farmer - Secretary
Sue Stone - Assistant Secretary
Vera Burt, David Daniels, Les Davis, John Noakes, Bunny Odbert, Colin Osborn, John Reid, Barbara Roberts, Adam Stephens.

SUB COMMITTEES

The trustees have recently created several sub committees to impliment specific areas of the Trust's activities, they are:-

DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Chair: Slater Reynolds

This committee's primary role is to generate policy and action recommendations for the full board of trustees.

ARTS DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
Chair: Adam Stephens

Otherwise known as Lavington Arts, this committee was created early in 1998 to initiate and support the development of the arts in Market Lavington, through a programme of projects and events.

COMMUNITY ACTION COMMITTEE
Contact Slater Reynolds or Nick Conrad

This committee will initiate and maintain contact with all sections of the village on behalf of the Trust and liaise with individuals, businesses, clubs, societies and other organisations, as stakeholders in the creation and use of the Community Hall.

FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE
Chair: Sue Stone

The fundraising committee has the vital role of raising money to be used either towards revenue expenditure before, during and after the Community Hall is built, or for capital purposes in the constuction and fitting out of the Community Hall.

THE SITE GROUP
Chair: John Noakes

This group works to put the Community Hall site into a clean and attractive state and then maintain that condition, for possible use both before and after the Community Hall has been built.

All the above committees report directly to the full board of trustees and liaise fully with each other where their areas of interest overlap.
